The Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists (hereinafter referred to as 'PRCP') values the personal information of its members and is committed to complying with international regulations and personal information protection laws. PRCP collects the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide its services:

Membership Registration and Management

Name, email address, country, affiliation, board certification information, and status of membership in national psychiatric societies.

Payment Services

Payment method information. Sensitive data such as credit card details are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, PayPal, and are not stored directly on PRCP's servers. We also collect World Bank Economic Category information for fee determination.

Service Usage Records

Access logs, cookies, and IP addresses.

PRCP utilizes the collected information for the following purposes:

Membership Management

Verification of membership eligibility, processing of annual dues, and management of membership tiers (Affiliate, Member, Fellow, Distinguished Fellow).

Provision of Academic Services

Access to the PRCP journal (Asia Pacific Psychiatry) and related video services, as well as providing information on participation in educational and research activities.

Inquiry Response

Providing answers to member inquiries and technical support.

Provision and Entrustment of Information to Third Parties

In principle, PRCP does not provide personal information to external parties without the user's consent. However, for the seamless operation of services, data processing may be entrusted as follows:

Payment Processing

External payment service provider (e.g., PayPal).

Journal Distribution

Academic publisher (e.g., Wiley).

Newsletter Distribution

Email marketing platform (e.g., Mailchimp).

Retention and Use Period

PRCP retains personal information as long as the member maintains their membership or until the purpose of providing the service is achieved. However, information may be stored for a longer period if required by applicable laws and regulations.

Upon Withdrawal of Membership

Information is destroyed immediately, except in cases where retention is necessary for dispute resolution, such as unsettled dues.

Accounting Records

Retained in accordance with the statutory retention periods of the respective countries.
